ABOUT KARLIE JOY
Karlie Joy is a multidisciplinary designer whose work spans fine art, surface pattern design, and illustration. Guided by curiosity and a deep commitment to craft, she transforms ideas into timeless designs and artwork that bring both beauty and meaning into everyday spaces.
Her creative practice is shaped by storytelling, nostalgia, and the rhythms of family life, resulting in work that feels personal, soulful, and enduring. Each piece reflects a balance between artistry and intention, designed not only as an expression of creativity, but as a lasting contribution to the environments it lives in.
Beyond the studio, Karlie is an experienced curator and collaborator with a strong belief in community and transparency in the creative process. She is passionate about building connections across disciplines — from working directly with families on heirloom commissions to partnering with interior designers, brands, and companies seeking thoughtful, design-forward artwork and pattern collections.
She holds an MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Minnesota and a BFA in Graphic Design from Austin Peay State University.
