The Nordic Home was a Nordic-inspired store which consisted of products that aligned with Nordic values and traditions, specifically in relation to the winter season.
From initial research and ideation phases, through brand development and application, to physical production, construction, and curation, this project allowed me to explore each facet of the creative direction process.
Involvement: ideation + concept creation, logo and pattern development, packaging design and assembly, art direction, physical construction of space, production of laser-engraved signage, product curation, styling + photography.
While some may instinctively recall certain foods or smells, others may think of cultures and activities. Personally, tradition evokes thoughts of my Scandinavian roots and the winter holiday season. But tradition is more than just seasons, smells and tastes – it is also about values. What one does with these values shapes current and future traditions.
The Nordic Home products can be passed through the generations, just like the values they represent.
