COMMISSION PROCESS

Commissioning a painting can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve never purchased a piece of art before but with me, it’s simple, transparent, and even joyful.

The first question for many is pricing, so let’s start there. I believe in complete transparency. Money conversations can feel awkward, and I never want you to feel uncertain or hesitant. That’s why I provide a clear pricing guide up front. You don’t have to wonder, negotiate, or worry about “offending” me with your budget — you’ll know exactly what to expect before we begin. As someone who appreciates that clarity myself, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

How does my process work?

  • Start by reviewing the pricing guide to see which size offering and investment level feels right for you. Transparency is key — no guessing, no surprises.

  • Once you’re ready, secure your spot by placing your reservation. Only a limited number of commissions are available each year.

A non-refundable $250 deposit is required to reserve your commission. The remaining balance will be invoiced upon delivery or before shipping.

  • We’ll connect to talk about timeframe, size, vibe, color palette, and any sentimental details you’d like me to weave into your piece.

  • The painting begins! You’ll choose between:

    • Progress Path → Receive a progress photo, with up to two change requests allowed.

    • Surprise Path → Wait for the full reveal, with no edits after delivery.

  • Each painting is photographed for my portfolio, carefully packaged, and made ready to hang. Local pickup is free, delivery is available for a small fee, and shipping can be arranged for non-local clients. Shipping charges will be included in the final payment invoice.

  • The remaining commission balance (total cost, less the $500 reservation fee) is due upon pickup, delivery, or prior to shipping and will be invoiced. Shipping fees will be included in the final payment invoice.

That’s it — a seamless, transparent, and thoughtful process designed to make commissioning a painting approachable, special, and memorable.
